18 Jan 2005
Greetings :-)
The organizers of YAPC::EU::2005 would like you all to know how things are going (we know this might be a little sonner than you expected, given report #2 last week, but we always said the reports would be irregular...).
This is report #3 and here are some details:
Site Map
We added some content to the site and hence we thought it would be a good thing to maintain a site map. You can find it at SiteMap.
Talk requests
If there's any special subject you'd like to hear about, or any talk in particular you'd like to (re)view, please say so at TalkRequests. Speakers are more likely to propose a talk if they know someone's looking forward to it.
Talk proposals
If you're thinking of proposing a talk, mention that at TalkProposals. You might get some feedback about what people think about it and you may convince someone to come and listen to you.
Travel-teams are being assembled
People are trying to get together to help each other getting from a common origin to the same destiny (which happens to be Braga). For examples, check out ParisToBraga or MarseilleToBraga.
If there's no team from where you're coming from, create a new one (or ask the organizers for help in doing that, if you need to). Even if you think you're the only one coming, set up the travel team, because that might be a way of people from the same area finding that there's somebody else around the place thinking of going too.
The full list of travel teams can be found at TravelTeams
(you're not forced to come in a team, of course; you can come alone; this is just a way of people helping each other)
And that's it for now.Contacts with the big sponsors still haven't ended, but so far everything looks good.
If there's anything else you need (informations about surf in Portugal, howto get from another airport to Braga, etc), the organizers can be reached at yapc@perl-hackers.net
Kind regards,
Jose and Alberto
PS: I wonder if he plans on bringing his surf board on the airplane... :-)
